Joseph Pulitzer’s Sunday World

luks-george-benjamin-1867-1933-the-sunday-world-3674815 Joseph Pulitzer created “the World on Sunday” which displayed halftone photographs in newspapers. Pulitzer did not create the Sunday edition but instead made Sunday’s paper more interesting with special features. The features included women, sports, and entertainment news with illustration. More color was added to advertise the reading to attract the readers attention and sell more. As Pulitzer said, “The Great World” was a great success and called it the Sunday edition of his New York World. It was the first of it’s kind to contain sports, puzzles, comics, fashion, and education.
